01. Origin
Polish variety, protected, origin S12/3/83 x EMB 1834/113.
Variety bred by Institute of Pomology and Floriculture in Skierniewice.
02. Fruit
Berries are small and medium in size.
Fruits contain a moderate amount of extract, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and anthocyanins.
They have a high acidity.
03. Maturity
Variety of medium late ripening, fruit ripens 5-6 days after the variety Ben Lomond.
04. Shrub
The bush grows weakly, has a compact habit.
Shoots are of medium length and the average number.
Buds small, oval, brown outer husk. Leaves of medium size, green.
Inflorescences double, medium length and short.
05. Sensitivity to frost
Plants are resistant to frost.
06. Susceptibility to diseases
The variety is resistant to gall mite (the most dangerous pest and virus vector reversion.
Resistant to American gooseberry mildew and intermediately susceptible to anthracnose leaf and white pine blister rust currant.
07. Usefulness of the variety
Yields abundantly in the fertile soils.
Produces high quality fruit, useful for processing, especially for the production of the concentrate and juices.
Currently it is tested for mechanical harvesting suitability with different types of combine harvesters.
